Here are some sample checklists that can be used as Checklist Templates and some instructions that show how importing works in Birdathon:

• Santa Clara County, California May 2018 custom rarity 1-5 (csv containing custom rarity numbers)

• Minimalist.csv (a file containing three birds that demonstrates the format for creating your own checklist templates with custom rarity)

• Birds of the Upper Salmon Basin, Idaho (eBird Record format)

• Birds of Victoria, Australia from Avibase (csv file of common names in eBird format)

• Birds of New South Wales (csv file of common names)

• Birds of China from Avibase (csv file of common names in eBird format)

• Hawaii Checklist from avibase eBird (csv file of common names in eBird format)

• World Birds Clements v2018 (csv file of common names of all the birds of the world)

• Target birds test

To learn how to import, follow the steps below.

1. View this web page in Safari on your iPhone

2. Tap on one of the links above and view the file

3. Tap the share button

4. Choose Birdathon (it might say "Copy to Birdathon")

5. Birdathon will ask if you want to Import Template

6. Choose “Import”

When you want to make a new checklist using this template:

1. In Birdathon, tap the "New List" button in the Main View

2. Your new template should be at the bottom of your list of templates, like this:

3. Now you can create new checklists based on that template any time you like!

Birdathon will automatically sort the birds in your new template, add the Scientific Name and ABA Rarity.
